East Side

East Side by Patrícia Nogueira and Carlo Nasisse.

East Austin is changing. The historical area that used to be the land for minorities, nowadays becomes a trendy place for high-end restaurants and chic bars. Still, some long-term residents refuse to leave and proceed with their lives in the east side of the city. East Side documents the strangeness and beauty of the ordinary, the everyday life of native while the space becomes gentrified and contaminated by new neighbors.
